Supply Chainers Go Pro

Last month supply chain manufacturing students Madison Carroll, Emily Carberry, Marzanne DeLapp de Anaya, Annemarie Marshall, and Dylan Hanser joined Dr. Michael Kay at the ProMat Conference. Held April 8th – 11th at Chicago’s McCormick Place, the conference is the largest manufacturing and supply chain expo in the Americas, offered over 1,000 exhibitors showcasing their work. ProMat also offers a place for students to network with some of the largest names in the field.

When supply chainer Marzanne DeLapp de Anaya heard about this event, she realized that she had “an amazing opportunity to represent NC State” in front of her. DeLapp de Anaya set out to organize a trip to visit the conference and recruited four other students with the help of Kanton Reynolds.

While at ProMat, the supply chainers attended the Material Handling & Logistics Student Days Program, the Career & Technical Education Program, and the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association.

DeLapp de Anaya and her fellow students were funded by Dr. Shelly Hoover-Plonk and the College of Engineering Enhancement Fund.
