Join Director of Engineering Writing Support, Dr. Katie Homar, for an overview of the Graduate School’s comprehensive academic, writing, and career support programs from the Professional Development Team. In addition to learning about helpful workshops and events sponsored by the graduate school, you will also participate in a short workshop on writing concise sentences to get a sense of how the Graduate School can help you get a leading edge in your writing projects.
Dr. Katie Homar is the Director of Engineering Writing Support with NC State’s Graduate Professional Development Team (Grad School Dean’s Office). Prior to starting at NC State, she has taught writers across the disciplines for a decade at the University of Pittsburgh and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Homar also holds a certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
