Research Interests

Sahebi Fakhrabad’s research focuses on Supply Chain and Logistics in the healthcare industry and utilizes optimization, statistics, and machine learning techniques to research and address issues within this field. His research mainly focuses on three main areas, which include the impact of patient code status on the utilization of critical resources at hospitals, the effect of opioid legislation on the behavior of supply chain stakeholders and their impact on opioid usage, and optimizing and expanding the intermodal transport networks at the Port of Wilmington in North Carolina to improve underutilized warehouses and increase the port’s capacity for future growth. The thesis uses various data monitoring systems, mathematical modeling, and machine learning techniques to analyze the data and to present the findings.
