Nafi Ahmed

Advisor: Rohan Shirwaiker

Nafi Ahmed is a Ph.D. student at NC State’s Edward P. Fitts Department of ISE focusing on Advanced Manufacturing.

Concentration

Research Interests

Ahmed’s research focuses on the design and scalable manufacturing of tissue-engineered medical products (TEMPs) and engineering new 3D biofabrication processes using computational, experimental, and clinical approaches synergistically. As a part of their research group, they also investigate fundamental interrelationships between critical process parameters, biomaterials, and functional quality attributes of TEMPs for various therapeutic and diagnostic applications.
