After delivering the commencement address to the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, alum Link Neal (Rhett & Link) sat down with department head Julie Swann to discuss Link’s ability to do math, how he used his industrial engineering skills to become a YouTube legend and to answer the question, “Does Link Neal need this?” The interview wraps up with Link submitting himself to a series of rapid-fire questions.

Rhett & Link’s Day on Campus

Rhett and Link began the day by delivering the commencement address to their respective departments. Afterward, they took a tour of the newest engineering building on campus, Fitts-Woolard Hall, which houses both departments (civil, construction and environmental engineering and industrial and systems engineering).

Back in 2019, Link Neal received one of the first ISE Outstanding Young Alumni Awards and received the award backstage before a sold-out show on the campus of Wake Forest University.
