Dr. Jeffrey Joines is putting his Industrial Engineering training from NC State to great use in a multitude of ways. As Department Head and Professor of the Textile Engineering, Chemistry, and Science Department at NC State, he has improved efficiencies of a variety of administrative matters.
Dr. Joines has a long history as part of the NC State Wolfpack. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and B.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1990, an M.S in Industrial Engineering in 1993, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering in 1996, all from NC State University. For his Ph.D. research, he received the 1997 Pritsker Doctoral Dissertation Award from for the best dissertation for the year from the Institute of Industrial Engineers. Prior to joining the faculty at the College of Textiles in 2000, he worked as a research associate for the ISE Department’s Furniture Manufacturing and Management Center (FMMC) working on applied optimization problems in the furniture industry.
