Professor Giovanni Perrone from the University of Palermo, has received a NATO grant to spend 1996-1997 working with the group. He will work on developing fuzzy genetic algorithms for optimizing fuzzy constraint networks.
Professor Ricardo Naveiro from the Cidade Universitaria in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, spent 1994-1995 working with the group. Dr. Arthur Greef from the University of Stellenbosch, Stellenbosch, South Africa, was funded by a grant from the South African Government to work with us for two years, August 1990 through August 1992.
Mr. Kaare P. Christiansen, graduate student visiting from The Technical University of Denmark, funded by a grant from the Danish Government to work with us for 6 months, January through June 1992.
Mr. Steve Minnaar, graduate student visiting from the University of Stennenbosch, funded by a grant from the South African Government to work with us for 6 months, January through June 1992.
Mr. Roelf Van Wyk, graduate student visiting from the University of Stennenbosch, funded by a grant from the South African Government to work with us for 6 months, January through June 1992.
