The group's computing resources are a mixture of Unix-based workstations and PCs. The workstations are part of the College of Engineering's Eos computing environment while the PCs are supplied by IBM Corporation. A mixture is necessary because industries use both types of computer resources. Workstations appear to be primarily used within design groups while PCs appear to be primarily used within manufacturing and business groups. With our mixed computing environment we are able to address all constituencies.
