Areas of Interest
Physical ergonomics, biomechanics, and intervention research.

Dr. Mirka joined the department in 1992. He teaches and conducts research in ergonomics with special focus on the following areas: spine biomechanics, cumulative trauma disorders, electromyography, biomechanical modeling, ergonomic intervention effectiveness research.

He has conducted his applied research in the manufacturing, construction, furniture, agriculture and commercial fishing industries.
