Areas of Interest
Logistics engineering, production and inventory control, scheduling, design and control of automated manufacturing systems, and modeling and evaluation of quick response systems for textile/apparel manufacturing.

Russell E. King is a professor of Industrial Engineering at North Carolina State University joining the faculty in 1985. He is also an associate faculty member of the Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering Institute, the Operations Research Program, and the Textiles and Apparel Management Department. He has four years of industrial experience with Dynamac Corporation, Jacksonville Naval Aviation Depot (US Navy), and Computer Science Corporation. He has been awarded the C. A. Anderson Outstanding Faculty Award, the Alcoa Foundation Engineering Achievement Award, and the IIE Technical Innovation Award. He is an Associate Editor for IIE Transactions, and is a member of INFORMS, IIE, Tau Beta Pi, Alpha Pi Mu, and Omega Rho.
