Professor Education Areas of Interest David B. Kaber joined the department in 2000. He teaches and conducts research in ergonomics with special focus on the following areas: automated systems (level of control and adaptive automation), cognitive ergonomics, human factors in teleoperation and telerobotics (telepresence), human-machine system/interface, occupational safety and health, and situation awareness in complex systems.
