Areas of Interest
Cognitive engineering, ergonomics, human-computer interaction, human factors engineering, occupational safety engineering, statistics, and system safety engineering.

David B. Kaber joined the department in 2000. He teaches and conducts research in ergonomics with special focus on the following areas: automated systems (level of control and adaptive automation), cognitive ergonomics, human factors in teleoperation and telerobotics (telepresence), human-machine system/interface, occupational safety and health, and situation awareness in complex systems.
