Course FAQ's

  • Q?  Why is the course only one credit and lasts only 5 weeks (10 sessions)?
    • A.  This will allow you to complete the course and not have it interfere with midterms and will allow you to understand ISE before you must select a major and preregister for summer and fall 2010 courses.
  • Q?  What will I learn?
    • A.  This course will introduce you to the breadth and excitement of Industrial and Systems Engineering through a series of active learning sessions and hands-on laboratories. Your participation and discussion is valued and necessary for this course to be successful!
  • Q?  Will it be fun?
    • A.  Yes!
  • Q?  Will the work load impact my other courses?
    • A.  No, reading and assignments will allow you to investigate ISE and learn, but will not be so time consuming as to negatively affect your other studies.
