Undergraduate
Undergraduate students gain broad exposure to industrial and systems engineering in general, or furniture manufacturing specifically.
In addition, our curriculum is always evolving to meet the specific and unique needs of employers and residents of the state of North Carolina (part of our mandate as a land-grant university). Furniture is a major industry in North Carolina – hence, the furniture manufacturing track mentioned above. And now, in response to a changing society and our proximity to Research Triangle Park, we have created a biomanufacturing track and a masters program in pharmaceutical engineering, and we are expanding our curriculum into health systems engineering, logistics systems engineering and bioproduction systems engineering.
